Shrimp Scampi
Ingredients:
2 lb Shrimp (preferably under 15 to a pound)
3/4 lb Butter, softened
3 Shallots, chopped fine
4 Garlic cloves, crushed and chopped fine
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 Teaspoons Chopped fresh parsley
1/2 c Plain dry bread crumbs
1 Egg yolk
1 t Accent (opt)
2 teaspoons Melinda's
Garlic Habanero Hot Sauce
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions:
Clean, devein and butterfly shrimp. Place them in large, flat
pan. Mix
butter, shallots, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, bread crumbs,
egg
yolk, Accent, hot sauce and salt and pepper to taste in bowl.
Spoon
over raw shrimp. Place under broiler for 3-5 minutes, checking
occasionally not to overcook. Spoon excess sauce over shrimp and
serve.
Makes 4 Servings.
